About ARHEI

Built with communities, for possibilities.

ARHEI is a student-driven non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health, education, and wellbeing of refugees across Africa.

Our story

What if opportunity starts here?

Like many refugee students, we once believed that a better future depended on migration. Then we asked what we were truly seeking: education, health, and dignity.

We began to see possibilities in the countries that welcomed us. From that shift in mindset, ARHEI was born.

We mobilize university students—refugees and students from host communities—to work alongside refugee communities. Refugees are partners, volunteers, leaders, and co-creators of solutions.

Our vision

A dignified life, where people are.

We envision refugee students and students from host communities as the backbone of sustainable support in education, health, and mental health.

Our mission

Students in service of community.

We identify real challenges with refugee communities, understand root causes, and design practical responses together through education, dialogue, peer support, and referral to qualified professionals.
